Support our local Post Offices
Ten Post Office crown branches in the Cities of London and Westminster have been identified as part of a strategic review. Their future is now uncertain.

The serious challenges facing the Post Office have only been made worse by 14 years of Conservative Government completely failing to tackle the issues.
Post offices provide essential face-to-face services for many local businesses and residents, including cash, banking and financial services. This is particularly crucial for older residents and those who don’t use online banking, those who speak English as a second language and those with disabilities who may have difficulties interfacing with online systems.
We need a national conversation about how we want to use the Post Office network going forward, which acknowledges and protects the fact that Post Offices are often more than the sum of their parts. They have a role in creating and supporting resilient communities, and we should find a way to hold onto that.
We need to strengthen the Post Office in consultation with postmasters, trade unions, customers and communities.
I have asked for a meeting with a representative from the Post Office about the future of the nine branches in my constituency.
I will also be taking your voices and views with me when I speak with them.
